We've been there many many times and have never been charged an extra fee for a credit card payment.
Hi Debbie, yes we do offer carry out for our meals. You can find pictures of our menu here or on Facebook, and call us at 5096742241 between 5am and 8:30 pm Sunday through Thursday and 9:30pm on Friday and Saturday to place your order. Our kitchen closes at 9pm and 10pm so this will allow time to prepare your order and pickup before we are closed.
I thought that's where I was asking... it's listed as the Sunset Cafe in Cle Elum on the "ask a question" line. Sorry, will try something else.
We do not. From time to time we do make gluten free desserts, I will pass this suggestion on to our Bakery.
Fantastic place to eat breakfast. Been going to this place for many years.I think 40 years. Lol my favorite thing is the homemade jam or jelly. Yum yum yum yum. Thank you
Comfy, cozy and the food is good. Not much else to say
We love this place! I get the roosters sandwich but I add onions, arugula and aioli. The servers are super nice, comfortable setting, delicious food and their pies are great. They also leave the coffee pot with you to refill as needed- which I love.
Nice atmosphere. Clean and well lit. Wait staff were friendly and helpful in spite of being inundated by several youth basketball teams. Only negative was the noise level given the crowd. It made it hard to communicate with our table.
Everything on the menu looked great. We all enjoyed what we ordered. Really good burgers, soups, and salad. We were there on free pie Wednesday :) if your traveling through looking for a good place to stop for good food you'll like it here.
We absolutely love the Loose Wolf Saloon! Great vibe and truly excellent service. So this is a locals hang out but if you have a sense of humor and love Seahawks well they consider you a local. We had the corned beef Benedict a dish called the Elk Hunter. To die for. Get a Bloody Mary with it you'll be in brunch bar heaven.
Amazing service and top tier food selection. The burgers are a sight to behold especially the "Baby light my fire", cheese filled peppers with the bacon wrapped around them make it amazing.
Our favorite place! We love the food, and the staff. The food is consistently good! Best French Dips, and Chicken Tenders! Yum Yum
Great service and good food. If you have a food question just ask and they will see if they can help you out. We eat healthy, whole, keto and they were able to cook to our liking.
Excellent food, fast friendly service. I had the cowboy tri tip with baked potato and steamed veggies. She had broccoli chicken fettuccine with salad. EVERYTHING was a cut above expectations and portions were LARGE. Drove an hour to get here (nice day for a drive), and it was well worth it. Senior and military discounts are another plus.Highly recommended.
Just a suggestion- we tried calling ahead to check the menu but were directed to a Facebook page. It’s unclear if the Facebook page is advertising specials or if all photo items are available on the menu to order. It might help to update the site to make it more clear what is available to order by phone. Thanks!
My wife and I stopped for lunch passing through town. We had a french dip and the turkey sandwich with pesto (side included). Each plate was $15 which is very expensive for a diner sandwich in my opinion. The sandwiches had homemade bread which was the best part. The turkey and beef were standard quality and I barely had any pesto on my turkey sandwich (pesto is why I got it and it was sub par pesto too) , the fries were standard. At $37 out the door for two basic sandwiches (and just water to drink) I can easily say I would never stop again. Service was standard also. My wife wanted a cookie on the way out which was another $5.50 for 2. You can find better value easily. Maybe their breakfast and dinner is better? 3 stars for the in house bread for our sandwich.
Tasty food and friendly service! They are also a bakery so their bread is amazing! The fried chicken was tasty and crispy without being greasy or overly salty. The mashed potatoes and gravy were yummy and the sautéed veggies were good though they could have used a squeeze of lemon juice to brighten them up. The hubby got a burger which he really liked though the fries were a little flaccid. I appreciate their dedication to sourcing great ingredients and will definitely be back. I hear their breakfast is where it’s at.
Our family had the Easter Sunday take home buffet. (4 servings). So thankful for good food & all the work the restaurant went thru to make it happen for us. We loved all the fun treats.THANKS to all...Bill
Excellent prime rib dinner. Tender and flavorful. Salad, loaded baked potato rubbed with olive oil and sea salt, and toasted french bread served with a bowl of clarified butter and garlic cloves. Reasonably priced too.
We stopped for the first time a couple days ago. Although we were theoretically past breakfast time, they made my husband’s day by fixing him a great breakfast. I was ready for lunch and had the roasted veggies which included half a butternut squash filled with rice. The food was absolutely delicious - obviously freshly made and sourced well. The quantity of food made three meals for me, and remained delicious on the third meal. This will become our place to stop when traveling I-90!!!
Been there multiple times! The food is always good! Really nice eclectic menu. Sat inside for the first time in a while been ordering to go the past few months. Every employee in the place today was wearing a mask as they should even the cooks. Only problem is that every employee was wearing their mask below their nose or down to their chin. Not a big germaphobe myself but it was pretty funny to me in which it might not be to some others.
Food was pretty good but expensive. Service was slow.
From start to finish the best food! Great garlic bread! Strawberry shake with huge chunks of strawberry's! Steaks and burgers amazing. Mac and cheese we died and went to heaven! Great all the way around!
Good food. Large portions. Waitress was very upbeat and had good recommendations.
The place me and all my friends go. We love hanging out in the bar, and love the holiday buffets they put on. Last Easter we went with a huge group and it was fenominal! This is a destination place when you drive through or visit Cle Elum.
Absolutely one of the best meals we have ever had dining out. Great atmosphere, fantastic service and excellent prices for the quality and size of portions. Everything tastes homemade with high quality ingredients.
Delicious food. The onion rings where huge. Our backed potato could of used a few more minutes. The sautéed veggies where super good. The rolls that they gave us with butter and garlic was yummy. Service was great. Friendly ladies. We enjoyed the music!!
THIS WAS ONE EXCELLENT PLACE TO EAT. I HAD THE BIG PRIME RIB DINNER. FABULOUS, THE PHOTO LOOKS JUST LIKE WHAT YOU GET, COOKED YOUR WAY THE WAITRESS, MYRNA WAS FRIENDLY, AND GAVE US SERVICE ABOVE AND BEYOND. CAN'T RAVE ENOUGH ABOUT THIS PLACE. TOO STUFF TO EAT DESERT. I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER MYRNA AS IM HANDICAPPED AND SHE MADE ME SO COMFORTABLE. REGARDS TO YOU MYRNA. SINCERELY , MARIAN BOLSTAD OF PUYALLUP
Great Service and Food
Definitely using canned gravy... I had the biscuits and gravy and sorry but there was no sausage unless it was so small I couldn't find it. Texture comparable to mushroom soup from a can.... Coming from three adults at the table.
For down home cooking with a few surprising twists this casual sit down restaurant in Cle Elum comes through. Just don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed. Decent burgers and salads, some vegetarian options, ok beer and wine selections. Not inexpensive, but good quality and quantity and excellent service.
Good food. Friendly staff
Delicious crepes! Amazing smelling baked goods. Eggs Benedict was tasty but was missing a squeeze of lemon. We'll definitely be back.
We had our annual family vacation and ended at Sunset Cafe because we were told that it was the place to go. The breakfast was amazing and everything was homemade. Bread, rolls, sausage and the portion were huge. We had a party of 20+ without reservation buy food came out in a timely manner. The only thing I would complain about was the drinking cups. They have seen better days as they were plastic and had lots of smudges and dents. Otherwise if I ever come back to Cle Elum I will eat there.
Enjoyed the food, friendly staff. Homemade bread.
This is the type of restaurant that is loved by locals and travelers alike. Well worth driving to, a little past the handful of fast food joints immediately off 90. Service is always good and daily specials are great. Prime rib and clam chowder are standouts but between my family and the friends we've brought here I have seen nearly everything on the menu and never heard anything but praise.
Great beer and better staff. But It would be better if they had food later in the day. I got here at 920pm after a long day and no food was available.
This restaurant is a total rip off! I was so disappointed when I ordered my beef stew. They charged me 12 dollars just to give me what looked like sewage from a can. I could have bought the same exact thing from a 1 dollar can at the grocery store. What I learned from this experience is that I can only trust my mother's cooking.
Delicious food with substantial portions. Waitstaff was very personable. Definitely will come back!
Stopped in and had the Prime Rim Dinner and delicious Apple crumble pie. Alexis was my server she was very polite and checked to make sure my meal was to my liking. She was also quick to bring out my food when it was ready and refill my drink when it was low.
Great food and good drink. Staff is awesome.
Great food and great service. Large portions of food so we did doggy bags home.
We were surprised to find house made pasta, clam chowder, and minestrone on the menu. All three were excellent and we really enjoyed the pit roasted prime rib as well. Outstanding products cooked very professionslly.
Phenomenal burgers! I ordered the snake bite burger. We stopped in off the interstate for some lunch. The server was very helpful, the menu said where and how they get a lot of their foods. Most appears to be local, or made in house. Prices were much better than we were used to in Seattle. I highly recommend this place. Try their blueberry lavender lemonade to if you have the chance. Beautiful little town to drive through too.
Great restaurant! The staff was friendly and attentive and the food was fantastic! I definitely recommend it to anyone passing through.
Had the most delicious lunch! Was the perfect thing for a pit stop on a long journey. Lunch was fresh fried oysters, done to perfection! It was confusing as to what entrance to go in, as you need to be seated by staff, but over all superb experience!
Great service and fabulous food.. i think our waitress was Myra she is a great ambassador
The meals will run you on ave 13-18 dollars but they are HUGE portions. Most couples could split it.My wife, 3 year old and myself could have all eaten from just one meal. Excellent service as well.
Took a lil bit to get the food but it was worth the wait
Awesome hidden gem of the town. Im a picky man from Cali but their prime rib is better than Lawry's, only larger and jucier, AND cheaper!! Must stop here if you are hungry. Family owned, cozy, excellent quality, excellent staff, excellent service. Thank you!
Nothing special. I had the eggs Benedict, sauce was separated. Other than that no complaints, but no highlights.
Update... returned and had the stew and steak, plus more of the wonderful sauted veggies. All cooked to homemade perfection. Will definitely return. At this price it's well worth the visit. Bartender made perfect old fashioned for us as well.I ordered the fried chicken and my chicken breast wasn't cook through but they quickly offered to fry me a new piece. The roasted veggies shined, the fresh baked bread the melted butter and garlic was delicious and husbands giant piece of med rare prime rib was perfect. Friendly service. May give another star if next visit goes without a hitch.
This cafe has variety selection of dessert and home made pies, love the taste, It's great! and i really like their salad. Staff are nice and friendly. Recommended.
Good, good food. Soda machine was low on Coca Cola syrup but swapped with Sprite quickly. The portions are generous, prices are good. Only place I know with a New York Steak for under 20.
